Harassment Prevention Training
All employees are entitled to a workplace free from harassment and discrimination. The consequences are harsh if employers are found not providing such a workplace - both financial and moral.
It is imperative that companies publish and post a Harassment Prevention policy for all employees. If you do not have such a policy - we can help to establish this. In addition, this policy must be communicated to all employees. Once this policy is communicated and posted, there must be a procedure in place to handle any complaints and ensure that a thorough and documented investigation is undertaken.
Do your managers and supervisors understand their role in the prevention of harassment and/or discrimination? Do your employees understand what constitutes harassment? Do you have a format for handling and investigation of complaints? Do your management team understand the severe financial consequences if harassment complaints are not dealt with in a timely and fair manner?
