WHMIS Training
Our Workplace Hazardous Materials Information (WHMIS) training enables operators to follow recognized safe practices, recognize the hazards associated with handling a controlled substances and take steps to control these hazards. According to Ontario’s Health & Safety Act employers, supervisors and workers must be aware of hazards and dangers to workers in the workplace. These hazards often cause injury to personnel, damage to equipment and product as well as reduce the efficiency of the operation. Testing is mandatory under law and a test is conducted at the end of the session. Our WHMIS training is customized based on the client’s specific needs. All employees should have a basic understanding of WHMIS however those workers who deal directly with controlled substances in the workplace should be given more intensive training.
